A lot of comments about the defender gear and guardian armor that are just wrong. It's not meant for people re-playing the game, it's meant to get you to the iceborn content as fast as possible. The bulk of the base game is so boring and tedious and long and full of unskippable cutscenes that take forever. Getting to master rank ASAP is the best way to play, because that's where all the best content is.
